Berlin, October 25, 2022. Berlin Brands Group (BBG), a global e-commerce company, has consistently
focused its management team on the expansion of its international platform.
The Berlin-based company has appointed Maria del Dado Alonso Sanchez as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Alonso Sanchez has extensive experience in digital business models. She previously held senior positions at Amazon, Siemens, Booking.com, C&A and Naspers. In the last 3 years, she was Group CFO at Dutch media, technology and entertainment company Azerion, listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange since February 2022. She joined BBG on September 1, 2022. "With Dado, we have been able to attract our ideal candidate for the next phase of our company's development," says founder and CEO Peter Chaljawski. "She combines strong capital markets, eCommerce and digital expertise with a large network."
Darren Minshall joined BBG's management team as Chief People Officer (CPO) in April 2022. He is responsible for driving the global BBG People strategy and building a world class people function to support the continued transformation of the BBG network. Minshall has over 25 years experience as a HR/People executive. Supporting the development and implementation of global people strategies, building and coaching executive leadership teams and driving fast paced organizational change across a wide range portfolio of companies (Amazon, Saatchi & Saatchi, Havas, DNEG)
In addition to CEO Peter Chaljawski, the BBG board continues its membership with the two co-founders Dominik Brichta and Peter Both as well as Thomas Stanzl as CDO.
Stephan Thönnißen, previously Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), is leaving the BBG Board, likewise Robert Hein, previously Chief Information Office (CIO). Henrik Haenecke, previously CFO, is also leaving the company to pursue a new role.
BBG has access to 1.5 billion active e-commerce customers in Europe, the UK, the US and parts of Asia. As a 'Global House of Digital Brands', the company sells nearly 5,000 products under 56 brands. For this purpose, BBG uses more than 100 channels in 28 countries.
